Cardiff Capitals working with the DCF (Cardiff Devils Community Foundation)

Our club has been working closely with the Devils Community Foundation from the Cardiff Devils over the past couple of months, helping to deliver ball hockey skill sessions

The past two weeks have seen us at three leisure centres, Eastern Leisure Centre - 5 - 9 August 2013 and also Llanishen Leisure Centre & Chanel View Leisure Centre - 12 - 16 August 2013

This week we are in Western Leisure Centre from 11:30am - 12:30pm daily. There will also be a one off 2 hour session next week on Thursday, 29 August 2013 from 14:00 - 16:00 in Cogan Leisure Centre in Penarth. If you would like to attend please contact the leisure centre directly to book, it would be great to see more faces at the sessions.

Ball Hockey

Ball hockey also known as DEK hockey or Street hockey.

A variation of inline & ice hockey played on trainers instead of skates. Players use a regular hockey stick just like they would for inline or ice hockey, players also wear shin pads, gloves and a helmet additional equipment is optional. Goaltenders wear the same amount of equipment as normal minus their skates.

Street hockey balls are used instead of pucks and the game is played with 5 runners and 1 goaltender for each team on the rink / court at any one time.
